Yes, losing weight means pain and perseverance – no matter what plan you follow – but doing the Real Food Real Weight Loss program has been one of the most rewarding and life-changing experiences in my life so far. At 20 years of age, I was unhealthy, overweight and low in energy. I would try to lose weight by cutting down the calories and going hungry, but always ended in stacking the kilos back on – and more. My parents discovered the program on the Internet, and after extensive research and a phone call to Real Food Real Weight Loss, we felt convinced that this program offered what we needed: a holistic approach to long-term weight management, health and wellbeing.
Beginning the program in 2013 was an exciting time for my whole family. My weight went from 81.5 to 61.0kg, and I lost amazing centimetres from bust, waist and hips (23cm from the hips, and still counting!). During this time, far more was revolutionized than my body weight. I learned how to eat and live healthily: what to eat, healthy portion sizes, good food combinations, the benefits of exercise, and – what NOT to eat!
